(1-6)Marine Services for Ships at Oil and Gas Terminals (Compulsory Service)

  • The MAA provides marine services, which are compulsory, for ships at gas and oil terminals through its branch offices. It provides these services in accordance with the applicable laws, resolutions, and regulations as well as the following conditions and procedures:

    First conditions of this service:-         

    1. The ship shall comply with the national and international standards and requirements of safety and environment protection.
    2. The ship shall meet all the conditions specified by the terminal.
    3. The ship shall have an authorized shipping agent in the Republic of Yemen.

    Second: Procedures:-     

    1. The MAA is notified of the ship’s arrival time 72 hours before the expected arrival time as shown in the form issued by the MAA.
    2. The MAA is notified of the ship’s arrival once it arrives specifying date and time of its arrival as shown in the form issued by the MAA.
    3. The ship shall fill in the departure form with the required details upon its preparation for departure after finishing loading operation.
    4. The MAA issues a departure permit and submits it to the shipping agent.
    5. The MAA issues an invoice of the due fees owed by the ship which, in turn, should be paid to the MAA within a week period.

     

    Third: Fees:-                      

    1. Fees for Marine Environment protection against pollution : US $0.15 per/each GRT of the ship.
    2. Pilotage service (Working days): US $0.03 per each GRT of the ship.
    3. Departure Clearance Fees: 25 $.
    4. Anchorage Fees: 450 $ per each day or part of it.
    5. Pilotage Fees (Holidays): 40% increase of the usual fees.

     

    Fourth: Time Set to provide this Service:    

    As required by each operation.
