MoT honors Maritime Affairs Authority staff

Nineteen of MAA distinguished staff were honored by HE Mr. Waed Bathib, minister of transport on Sunday April 3 on the occasion of Labor Day.

During the celebration that was organized by MAA at Coral Hotel in Aden, the minister commended the honored employees and in particular and the rest of the MAA staff in general.

He said in his speech that MAA was the maritime authority that has worked to ensure safety of on the sea, supported the Regional Information Sharing Center (ReMISC) in Yemen to make Yemen piracy-free in 2013. He added that MAA should multiply efforts to achieve more in the future.

The minister also instructed concerned departments to give each employee YR20,000 to show the ministry gratitude for their hard work.

Another speech was given by Mr. Murad Ali Mohammed, MAA acting executive chairman in which he congratulated the honorees and said that Labor Day is the time to give back to all those who do what they can to make Yemen a secure and safe place and contribute to its progress. He also asserted that MAA will spare nothing to take care of its employees.
